In 2018, Honey & Home started in our one bedroom apartment. Emerson & I had just moved back from graduating college, we were living in a tiny apartment on the water in my hometown of Port Huron, MI. The apartment was tiny but I wasted zero time making it feel like home. Cozy candles, décor that made me feel it feel personalized to us, entertaining pieces that would making hosting feel special, I turned that little tiny, outdated apartment into a home, the first one that felt like ours.

Port Huron is a small little town offering very limited in-person shopping experiences. I wanted to create a place that I would want to shop. A place that made me feel good to shop at and a place I enjoyed going to for inspiration. Honey & Home started with wood & canvas signs that we made ourselves from start to finish in that tiny little apartment. I knew I wanted to add more, so gradually we added more products, lines, suppliers. We stopped making signs, and after a series of blessing-in-disguise events started making our candles. Over the past 6 years, our lines have continued to evolve and grow but our mission remained the same.

When we started Honey & Home in 2018, I wanted it to be different than another other home décor, entertaining, gifting shop. I wanted it to be more. I wanted it to be a place you can come to get lost in a dream of inspiration with recipes, gifts, tablescapes, décor- all the things. Our goal has always been to provide a gifting experience that inspires deeper connections, décor & entertaining staples that bring you joy, and apparel that makes you feel good, cozy & like the best version of yourself. For us, coziness & joy go hand in hand and often found together. Found in recipes or the baking process, found in lighting your favorite candle, found in bringing out your Christmas décor and finding an ornament that has a treasured memory attached. I always hope to inspire you to find the joy in your life and make every day a little coziness.

All these years later, Emerson and I now live in a tiny beach house on the Lake Huron, with our chubby cat Remi. As Honey & Home continues, to grow, evolve and expand we are so thankful to you for letting us into your homes.
